SCC Learning Pods
What is a Learning Pod?
Learning pods are small groups of students, usually five to 10, in the same age and grade range who learn together from a hired teacher, tutor, or parent in the home.
How We Can Help
- SCC will help you set up an engaging learning space in your home.
- Classes can take place in-person, online or a combination of both (depending on the ages).
- All of our teachers are CECE or OCT certified and follow the Ontario curriculum.
- Pods can choose either half- or full-time school.
- Highly personalized learning for your child including two report cards per year that can be added to your child’s Ontario Student Record.
- Available for students in Kindergarten - Grade 2.
Getting Started
We unfortunately cannot facilitate the creation of pods. However, we are encouraging everyone to connect with other families in your neighbourhood by reaching out to your friends and contacts through social media, including local Facebook pages.
Once you have your pod created, contact us and we’ll get everything set up for your school year.
What does it cost?
The cost ranges from $290-350/day (9:00am - 3:00pm)
or
$170-200 per 3-hour block.
This fee is per pod, not per student.
There is also a one-time student registration fee of $79 per child.
M-F required for both full- and half-days.
Max of 5 students per pod.
